Please pray for my liver! This is going to be a big beer weekend in Seattle. Brouwer's Big Wood Festival (featuring 40+ wood-aged beers on tap) starts tonight. I'll be heading over early today to try a few I don't want to miss and I'll probably return on Saturday or Sunday to sample more. I'll also be dropping by the Winter Beer Festival at Hale's on Friday. I've made out a preliminary list (subject to change) of beers to try at each fest and they include:

Big Wood
Allagash Musette
Big Time Bourbon Old Rip
Boulder Obovoid Empirical Stout
Elysian Jack Frost
Hair of the Dog Fred From the Wood
Lagunitas Oak-Aged Brown Shugga
New Belgium Le Terroir
Pacific Rim Makers Mark IPA
Sierra Oak-Aged Celebration
anything by Lost Abbey...

Winter Beer
Anacortes Cask Noel Ale
Anacortes Broadsword Scottish Ale
Elliott Bay Darkside Wit
Elysian Bye-Bye Frost
Iron Horse Belgian Black Ale
Northern Lights Winter Ale
Schooner Exact Hoppy Holiday Ale

Yeah, I went to Big Wood last night and they're only serving the beers in 12 oz. snifter portions. That kind of limits how many you'll have. Two and I was done...
