The Beer Retard - February 4th, 2003

So I find out yesterday that some piece of shit is trying to steal my identity. My mom calls and tells me that they've gotten letters from WalMart and Lowe's in Texas saying that I passed bad checks in stores in Lake Jackson and San Marcos in late December. I'm not sure how this happened. I haven't lived in Texas or had a bank account there in 5 years. I'm pretty paranoid about my personal papers and whatnot, so I always shred anything with any personal information on it. I know I cut up my Texas driver's license when I got my California ID. The only thing I could think of is maybe an ex-girlfriend I lived with in Houston--when we broke up and she moved stuff out maybe she got some of my papers. I just find it hard to believe that she'd pull some shit like this. Now I have to find time today at work to get on the phone and talk to these people. What a pain in the ass. The only exciting thing about it is the prospect of finding out who did it.
