An update of sorts

On Wednesday, I got a call telling me I got the one and only job I interviewed for in Seattle. Not only will I be paying hundreds of dollars less rent than I did in SF, but I will also be making thousands of dollars more per year. I've been so incredibly fortunate with this move thing that part of me has been doing fist pumps and screaming "fuck yeah" for the world to hear while another part of me is feeling pretty sheepish for being so lucky while so many people in the Gulf states have had their lives turned upside down. I really don't know what to say.
I'm starting to do serious packing and my mom and sister are visiting and really whipping my sorry ass into shape. I somehow also managed to get my drink on for a few hours this afternoon with![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
slipkid, one of his brothers and his best man. They should be getting ready for Paul Weller to hit the stage any minute now. I'll update more when I can.
